The weather outside is getting nicer and the time is right for a good vegan BBQ. With these little recipes you will have a delicious vegan steak with nice side dishes. Let’s grill!
What you need for 4 portions
- 2 trays Vegafit Steak
- 4 sweet corn cobs
- 8 big potatoes
- Fresh chives and parsley
- Herb butter
- Soy sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 centimetre ginger
- Four tablespoons of olive oil
- Sea salt and pepper
Preheat the oven on 200 degrees Celsius. Clean the potatoes and cut them in thin slices but keep the bottom side intact. Tip: lay two chopsticks next to the potato, and cut until you reach the chop sticks. This way you keep the bottom intact. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt. Scoop a little herb butter on top of the potatoes. Let the potatoes roast in the oven for 55 minutes. After they are fully roasted, put some extra herb butter on and sprinkle with fresh chives.
Let’s make the marinade for the steaks: cut the garlic, onion and chili pepper into very small pieces. Mix with the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and the olive oil. Marinate the steaks for 15 minutes.
Grill the sweet corn cobs 10 minutes on the barbecue and spread with butter. Sprinkle with sea salt and fresh parsley.
Finally, briefly grill the marinated steaks on the barbecue until nicely browned.
